The 72 square metre recording studio is divided into two sections: a control room and a live room. Considered to be among the top three recording studios in Scotland, it is truly a fascinating facility, equipped with the latest ProTools HD2 system which the manufacturers regard as a showcase installation. It also has a rich choice of classic analogue hardware including Rupert Neve Pre Amps and Compressors.
The live room can accommodate up to 20 players and contains a separate drum and vocal room for increased quality recordings. Recording links to the adjacent auditorium mean that live concerts or full orchestra sessions can also be recorded. The studio has clear acoustics and is fully soundproofed. It can meet all production requirements from rough demos through pre-production to laying down singles or full length albums.
It has the necessary capabilities for recording, mixing, overdubbing, voiceovers, soundtracks, TV jingles, radio, video games and podcasts. It is also fully equipped with piano, drum kit, guitar, bass amps and microphones.
