Many of our students progress to a UK university when they finish their studies at the College. The International Centre provides help and advice on applying to University.
The College also has a number of agreements with universities in Scotland and England which can allow advanced entry into 2nd or 3rd year of a degree for HNC/D students. Details of progression routes to universities in Scotland which may be available are detailed in our Articulation Brochure .
An agreement with the University of Sunderland has recently been signed. This allows students to progress from SCE directly to the final year of a degree at the University of Sunderland. This means students can study for 2 years (HND) at Stevenson plus 1 year at the University of Sunderland, completing a degree in 3 years. You can find out more information on each of the courses by selecting the subjects below.
Students can also progress to many Scottish universities, generally into the 3rd year or in some cases may be able progress to the 2nd year of an undergraduate degree at an English institution. Studentswould then have two further years of study to complete their Honours degree. Many students progress to other universities in Edinburgh such as Napier University, The University of Edinburgh, Heriot Watt University or Queen Margaret University. University entry requirements will vary between institutions. Entry requirements change from one year to the next, therefore it is recommended that you check the current entry requirements with the admissions department of your preferred university. You can check university entry requirements at www.ucas.com, or by using the website/prospectus of your chosen university. International Centre staff will also help you with this.
