SCE is a long established provider of Teacher Development Programmes for groups of professionals from many different countries. Programmes are available for English teachers of all levels, from new teachers just entering the profession to experienced teachers requiring to refresh and develop their skills.
Teacher Development Programmes can take place at SCE or in your home country - this can depend on the type of qualification required and your own preferences for delivery. Some programmes may combine delivery in both Edinburgh and your home country.
There are two main types of teacher training courses at SCE:
- Specially designed group programmes
- Programmes leading to a recognised Cambridge ESOL Teaching Award
Teacher Development Programmes for groups can take place at any time of year and can also include a social programme, accommodation, airport pickup and local travel arrangements.
Specially designed group programmes
These can be tailored to meet the needs of the group and lead to a college certificate.

Programmes leading to recognised Cambridge ESOL Teaching Award
Cambridge English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Teaching Awards are recognised by educational establishments and government organisations around the world.
