|
This exciting new course is for those who wish to work at a supervisory level within the events industry - a dynamic and rapidly expanding area which requires multi-skilled staff. The HNC Events aims to develop a range of skills, from managing a huge variety of events to budgeting, IT, Marketing, Legal Issues and Constraints. There is a strong emphasis on team-work and students are expected to plan and organise their own event. The HND focuses on understanding and the events industry from a managerial perspective and developing skills in problem solving, evaluation and analysis. |

HNC Legal Services

This course provides a basic understanding of Scots law and legal procedures. Excellent communication skills in English are essential for this course. Our Legal Studies Department consists of highly experience lecturers who are experts in their fields. HNC Social Sciences

This course provides a broad knowledge and understanding of Social Science and is a well-recognised route to university, or in some cases to year 2 at university. It covers Sociology and Psychology and two subjects from: Politics, History or Philosophy, plus a compulsary Research Methods unit. In the second half of the course you will specialise in thress of these subjects. |

HNC/D Tourism

The course offers a range of tourism-related skills, providing opportunities to work in tourism or progress to university. The course includes a programme of excursions to tourist attractions and visiting speakers from the tourism industry. |
