HNC/D Audio Visual Technology
|
This unique vocational course has been designed to enable you to develop a wide range of specialist skills required in the Audio Visual Sector. Year 1 will introduce you to the practical elements and technical theories required for the Audio Visual industry. This includes Video Production, Multi-Media, Sound and PA Design plus an introduction to Animation and Photography. Year 2 is designed to support specialist clusters allowing you to develop individual strengths in Multi-media, Production or Audio Visual Integration. Multi Track Audio Recording, News Gathering, Web Design and Work Experience will further Develop knowledge gained in Year 1. |

HNC/D Creative Industries - Television
|
This course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required by the Television industry. You will study the technical skills and production processes involved in making television programmes. This includes Scriptwriting, Production Management, Research and Directing, Camera, Sound, Lighting and Editing. During the course you will write, produce and direct programmes and crew for your colleagues. You will direct and crew both single camera and multi-camera studio programmes, allowing you to develop an extensive showreel. In Year 2 you will carry out a work placement. |

HND Music Performance
|
This course is designed for instrumentalists/singers who would like to pursue a career in music or gain access to Higher Education. Students can choose to specialise in either popular or classical music. The course includes development in all aspects of classical and contemporary music including Performance. General Musicianship and Instrumental /Vocal Skills. Entry to the course requires the ability to play at least one instrument to ABRSM Grade 7 and an audition (preferably by DVD). You will receive 1 hour per week individual tuition on your chosen first study (24 hours per academic year). You will also have the opportunity to perform in a wide range of ensembles. |

HNC/D Professional Photography

The HND course mixes creative and professional units to equip you with the skills and knowledge you will require to be a professional photographer today. The course programme was developed with considerable industrial research which has resulted in commercial broad-based experience using a wide range of professional equipment available in the studios, darkrooms and digital suites of the photography department. Evidence of a portfolio is necessary for entry onto this popular course. Portfolios may be submitted electronically via email or CD-ROM. |
