Stevenson College Edinburgh (SCE) is one of the largest colleges in Scotland, welcoming around 18,000 students each year. With over 25 years of experience, the College offers a broad range of internationally recognised qualifications including University Foundation Programmes , HNCs and HNDs and English Language courses of all levels.
SCE was founded in 1970, and the facilities we have here in the College reflect our modern outlook. Our courses are tailored to meet the demands of the employer and prepare students for either further study or employment.
Our courses are recognised by many UK universities, and so SCE students can continue their studies at undergraduate degree level and beyond. All our international courses offer clear progression routes to higher level courses both at SCE and partner universities.

Many students ask us ‘why should I study at the College rather than a University?’ There are many reasons why students choose to study at SCE. By taking a foundation or English language class students can improve their academic qualifications to gain entry to a UK university. The College also has smaller class sizes on average, leading to more individual support and guidance for students. The College prepares students both academically and socially for the demands of independent and self-motivated study at University. Our dedicated staff in the International Centre are here to help and support you throughout your time with SCE.
