HNC/D Business

This course is ideal for students looking to pursue a career in business and covers a wide range of business disciplines.  The course has been designed with the needs of employers in mind and is very broad based, meaning that you can progress to a wide variety of business related subjects.  Subjects covered include:  marketing, personnel and economics.

There are also a range of optional units available including Business Taxation, International Marketing, and Human Resource Management Practice. 

Course Assessment

You will need to pass all the unit assessments as well as completing the graded unit, where you will analyse a case study of a business organisation, normally with Scottish connections.  You will be given a case study in advance of the exam where you will have to answer unseen questions on the case.

University Progression

You can progress to the second or third year of a business related degree at several universities including Queen Margaret, Napier or Sunderland University.
