HNC/D Administration and IT

The rapid growth of information and communications technology and the increased emphasis given to information processing and management has led to the demand for new and greater flexibility with regard to workplace skills.  Previous experience of working with Microsoft Office applications is needed for this course.

Course Assessment

Each unit has a variety of assessment methods such as practical tests using the computer or case studies.  In addition to continual assessment, you will also have to complete three "graded units" for successful completion of the HND.  The graded units include both exams and case studies.

University Progression

An HNC/D qualification may lead to further study at university.  Some examples of university progression from the HND include:
