Students at the cinemaThere is plenty of shopping for everyone in Edinburgh, from the bustling Princes Street in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre, to shopping malls only a short bus trip away from the city centre. For example Ocean Terminal is based only three miles from Edinburgh city centre. This covered shopping mall offers a range of shops, restaurants and leisure activities including cinema. There are many other shopping outlets in and around Edinburgh and also quick and easy transport links to Glasgow city centre, you will be spoilt for choice.

For students wishing to aprticipate in sports during their time in Edinburgh there is a wide range of privately owned and council owned sports complexes throughout the city. These offer sports for everyone from indoor climbing walls, to golfing, to racquets sports, individual sports and teams throughout the city. Stevenson College Edinburgh also has many sports teams including football and basketball. SCE also has a sports centre on campus.

Students enjoying an outside cafeEdinburgh also has a wide range of entertainment to suit all tastes, as you would imagine from a large city. From cinemas to bowling alleys to parks and the Edinburgh International Festival. There truly is something for everyone in Edinburgh.

For students living in Edinburgh, the variety of cafes, restaurants and bars offering international food and drink provide plenty opportunity to enjoy your free time.
