UNITE halls of residence
UNITE offers single room and studio accommodation with en-suite shower rooms. Room prices start from £128.00 per week in a shared flat to £185.00 per week in the top end self contained studio accommodation and include electricity costs. They are conveniently located in the city centre and some residences offer internet access in the rooms. There are often shared kitchen facilities and communal areas. Students from many different institutions throughout the city of Edinburgh can stay in UNITE accommodation and so you will meet many different students. Queen Margaret University
En-suite rooms are also available in the halls of residence at Queen Margaret University. These hall of residence are situated in Musselburgh, on the opposite side of the city to Stevenson College and house approximately 800 students. These students will mainly be students of Queen Margaret University. Room prices start at £97.50 per week for a standard room, and £103.00 for a premium room including electricity. There is a train linking Musselburgh to Edinburgh Park via Edinburgh Waverley which will take approximately 40 minutes and then you will have to get a bus from Edinburgh Park to the College. There are also frequent buses to Edinburgh city centre, and then you would have to get a second bus to the College. This would take approximately 1 hour. iQ Student Accommodation
Brand new for 2010, iQ Edinburgh offers a great range of studios and ensuite rooms with shared kitchens at two buidlings in the popular Fountainbridge area. iQ is centrally located and close to major bus routes which go directly to the College. Both sites also have secure bike storage.
The flats and studios come fully furnished and each room has its own private en-suite. There are also a variety of social spaces within the buildings to suit all interests. There is also an on-site management team and out of hours security ensuring peace of mind 24/7.
Rents range from £112-£199 per week, depending on the type of room. All rents are fully inclusive and cover all electricity and heating bills, contents insurance and a 4mb broadband connection.
