Accommodation

Finding a place to stay is very important when you are preparing to study overseas. At SCE we have a dedicated Accommodation Office which can help you to find accommodation before you leave your home country.

Most of our international students select homestay accommodation, where you live in a Scottish household near to College. Living in a local home provides international students with the opportunity to experience Scottish culture in a welcoming and friendly environment. If two or more students are placed together, we do our best to ensure that they will be from mixed nationalities.

You can choose from two different types of homestay accommodation:

Homestay: Half-Board

Bedroom, breakfast and evening meal provided
Single or shared rooms (if you apply with a friend) available
More free time for full-time studying
Participate in the life of the household and eat with your host
Prices from £95 per week for a single room or £80 per week for a shared room

Homestay: Self-Catering

Live with the household and have your own room
Shop for food and cook your own meals
Use the household kitchen or there may be cooking facilities within the room itself
Prices from £65 per week for a single room or £50 per week for a shared room

Homestay accommodation gives you an ideal opportunity to practise your English in a safe environment. All our homestay hosts are experienced in having international students staying with them, and will be able to assist you in finding your way around Edinburgh, and to settle in to College and Scottish life. All homestay accommodation is visited by the Accommodation Office and is inspected in accordance with the Accreditation UK inspection criteria.

Stevenson College Edinburgh does not have its own halls of residence; however students can apply to stay in halls throughout the city. Please contact our Accommodation Team for more information about any of the accommodation types available: accommodation@stevenson.ac.uk.
