Many International students choose to live in homestay accommodation for the duration of their studies. However, some students wish to be more independent and prefer to share a flat with other students. Stevenson College does not have any flats to offer to students, so this must be done privately. It is advisable to view a private flat before you sign a lease or agreement and therefore easier to arrange once you are living in Edinburgh.
The cost of a room in a flat varies from £50 - £75 per week, and you must remember to add the cost of gas, electricity, telephone, internet etc. ontop of your rental. You may also have to pay council tax if you are living with other people who are not students.
A deposit of one month’s rent is normal and rent is payable one month in advance. You will usually have to sign a lease for a minimum of six months, and once a lease is signed you are responsible for full payment until the lease ends.

There is an Accommodation notice board situated in the College outside Student Advice.
