Accommodation is vital to ensuring that you feel safe and comfortable during your time at Stevenson College Edinburgh.
As an International student you will probably need to find accommodation in Edinburgh for the duration of your studies before you leave your home country. The Accommodation Service can help arrange homestay accommodation for you and provide advice on halls of residence and flat-share both before you arrive and throughout your studies.
Many students choose to live in a homestay, as this provides an excellent way of practising your English, increasing your confidence in the use of English and experiencing local culture in a welcoming and friendly environment. It is also possible to apply for a place in halls of residence or to rent an apartment in the city.
As demand for accommodation in Edinburgh is high, it is advisable to start searching as early as you can.
Short term accommodation
If you arrive early or without having arranged accommodation, temporary/ short term accommodation is available throughout Edinburgh in a variety of Youth Hostels and Backpacker hostels.
Please be aware that short term accommodation in Edinburgh is particularly difficult to find during the Edinburgh Festivals, usually from end of July to beginning of September, and New Year’s celebrations – Hogmanay.
