HNs - Higher National Certificate and Higher National Diploma


The Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) courses are advanced qualifications broadly equivalent to the first two years of undergraduate study.  Most HNC/Ds are vocationally orientated and are recognised by many professional bodies and employers. An HNC/D is earned through the successful completion of Higher National (HN) Units.  Each Unit is assessed through internal assessment. These qualifications can be used to enter degree programmes at an advanced level.
