Course Overview

This training aims to develop language awareness, advise on lesson planning and demonstrate basic teaching techniques. There is an additional flexi-study day each week plus voluntary tutoring for nine months at a time to suit the volunteer tutor and students. This course is held at Duncan Place Resource Centre in Leith.

Entry Requirements

Good communication skills plus an interest in people and the process of language learning. Speaking the student's language is an advantage.

What can I do Next?

Trainee tutors go on to provide ESOL tuition to students on a one-to-one basis.
