SVQs in Health and Social Care are designed to develop and assess the skills that are essential for staff working in a health or social care work environment. SVQs meet the registration requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) The following levels are available:

  • SVQ Health and Social Care Level 2
  • SVQ Health and Social Care Level 3 (Adults) 
  • SVQ Health and Social Care Level 3 (Children and Young People) 
  • SVQ Health and Social Care Level 4 (Adults)
  • SVQ Health and Social Care Level 4 (Children and Young People)
  • Leadership and Management for Care Services Level 4.

The above awards have an SCQF credit rating.

Entry Requirements

You must be working  in the care sector and in a role suited to the Level of SVQ you are undertaking.

What can I do Next?

You can progress to the next SVQ level provided you are in a work role that is appropriate to that level of SVQ.
