Course Overview
The Level 2 SVQ is appropriate for staff working in a childcare and early years setting in a support worker role. The Level 3 SVQ is appropriate for staff working in a childcare and early years setting in a practitioner role. Achievement of these qualifications enables the candidate to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The course consists of 10 sessions in the College. Thereafter candidates work with their SVQ Assessor on a one-to-one basis.
Entry Requirements
Candidates must be working in a childcare and early years setting. For the Level 2, candidates must be working in a support worker role. For the Level 3, candidates must be working in a practitioner role.

Candidates can progress to the next SVQ level provided they are in an appropriate work role within a childcare / early years setting.
