Course Overview
APPLY NOWThis course is for people planning to work with children from birth to 12 years. It includes units on Child Development, Child Health, Children?s Behaviour and Children?s Rights. The work placement units cover play in practice and will develop an understanding of working with children. The course has a mandatory section of credits, which are at Higher Level, plus options at Higher or Intermediate 2 Level.
Entry Requirements
3 Standard Grades at Credit Level 1 or 2, including English. Mature students with relevant experience may also be considered. Applicants will be interviewed and references are required.
What can I do Next?
Work with children at support worker level or progress to HNC Early Education and Childcare course or to an SVQ 3 award.
