HNC Legal Services

This course may allow you to progress to degree level courses in law at several universities.  This course is aimed at providing you with a sound understanding of Scots Law.  Whilst no previous study of any particular subjects is necessary, it would be helpful to have studied social science based subjects.

Course Content 

Units covered on the course include:

  • Scottish Legal System
  • Scots Private Law
  • Property Law
  • Mercantile Law
  • Legal Research Techniques
  • Communication

Course Assessment

As well as successfully completing all units, you will have to complete two closed book exams and one project during the course.

HNC Legal Services may lead to law degrees at several Scottish universities.  Please check with the International Centre for the latest progression routes and entry requirements.
