This course aims to equip students with the necessary skills to follow a career within the interactive media field. It aims to offer a balance of academic and vocational training. Students will have the opportunity to develop the foundation knowledge and skills required to progress on to a web development or interactive media creation course.
The course will develop a wide range of skills in industry standard software programmes such as CSS, XML, SQL and Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator and Photoshop. Students will be given the opportunity to develop a digital portfolio to showcase their skills for the professsional market.
Due to the popularity of this course, the second HND year has been introduced for 2010/11.
Entry Requirements
1 Higher, 4 Standard Grades at Grade 3 or above and IT skills or 12 SQA National units with a computer bias (including Communications and Maths). Mature students with relevant experience will also be considered.
