This exciting new course is for those who wish to work at a supervisory level within the events industry - a dynamic and rapidly expanding area which requires multi-skilled staff. The HNC aims to develop a range of skills, from dealing with a huge variety of events to Budgeting, IT, Marketing, Legal Issues and Constraints. A work placement is also an integral part of this course. There is a strong emphasis on team-work and students are expected to plan and organise their own event.
The HND focuses on understanding the events industry from a managerial perspective and developing skills in problem solving, evaluation and analysis.
Entry Requirements
1 Higher, at Grade C or above plus 3 Standard Grades at Grade 3 or above (two of which should be Mathematics and English) or satisfactory completion of appropriate Intermediate 2 or Higher SQA Units. Applicants who do not meet this criteria but have relevant work experience will also be considered.

What can I do next?
You may enter employment in a variety of different roles such as Events Assistant, Events Co-ordinator, or Events Supervisor. Alternatively, you could progress to a degree in Events Management at University.
