History Higher

This course will provide breadth and depth in your knowledge and understanding of historical themes through a study of chosen period contexts. It will also develop your skills in explaining historical development and events, evaluation of sources and drawing conclusions.

Units covered are:

  • Britain 1850 to 1939
  • The growth of Nationalism 1815 - 1939
  • Appeasement to Road to War

Entry Requirements

Standard Grade 1 or 2 or Intermediate 2 or GCSE A or B or equivalent units in History or a ?social science? subject plus English Standard Grade 1 or 2.
