Course Overview
This course is ideal for the fitness participant who wants to further their knowledge and seek employment in the leisure industry. This course will prepare you to plan and deliver exercise programmes for a variety of clients. The course is validated by Fitness Scotland and successful candidates will be placed on the National Register and gain a nationally recognised qualification enabling them to work throughout the UK and Europe.
Objectives
To enable you to design and implement Gym induction programmes
To teach you how to assist clients in the gym during their workout
Course Content
Theory and underpinning knowledge (anatomy, physiology and body systems)
Course Delivery
This course will be delivered over five weekends: 10 & 11 March, 24 & 25 March, 21 & 22 April, 5 & 6 May and 19 & 20 May.
Assessment
Written theory paper
Practical assessment - plan, teach and evaluate a gym induction session

Entry Requirements
Core Skills Communication at Intermediate 2. You must be able to demonstrate good practical gym experience.
