Course Overview
This course provides an introduction to the Adobe package, dreamweaver. The course will equip students with the necessary skills to be able to design and create multiple web pages using Dreamweaver CS3/5.
Course Content
Dreamweaver is a popular software package which incorporates tools for web page, website control and management. This course delivers an essential guide to the core features for the creation, formatting, management and updating of web pages. The topics covered include:
- Getting started with Dreamweaver
- Creating & editing web pages (including formatting text, adding tables & images)
- Manipulation of page properties
- Editing HTML directly from Dreamweaver
- Formatting techniques including style sheets, templates and library file inclusions
- Building navigation tools, navigation bars & jump menus
- Creation of frames and assigning links to open pages in particular frames
- Web site management with Dreamweaver (including building a site map and link checking) designing for accessibility
- Importing Word HTML and cleaning up the HTML

Entry Requirements
Strong computer skills are essential and a good knowledge of using a web browser and the internet are an advantage. A basic knowledge of HTML would be useful.
