PDA Care Service Management
This programme enables candidates to develop knowledge and skills underpinning current management practice, including leading and managing teams, supervising staff and managing resources.
The areas of study include:
- Effective Leadership and Management in Care Settings
- Supervising staff in Care Settings
- Managing Resources
- Managing Policies and Procedures
- Supporting and Managing the Protection of Individuals
All areas of the course will require candidates to link theory to practice and to reflect on and write about their work with their teams. It is very practice based and offers opportunities to do real development work with teams within work settings.
Who is it for? 

- Managers and Team Leaders who want to develop their practice in their roles
- Those who are required, for registration purposes, to have a Management Qualification at a minimum of Level 8 on the SCQF
Entry Requirements
- Experience of working within a social care setting
- Experience of managing a service and team
- Currently working in a management / team leader role
- Academic Qualification at a minimum of SCQF Level 7 or above, for example HNC/HND/Degree Level
- Good written communication skills at SCQF Level 7 or above
