The Faculty of Early Education, Health and Social Care provides a range of training opportunities for those wishing to gain employment in occupational areas such as nursing, childcare or social care.
We offer a wide range of qualifications.
Our courses range from Introduction courses through NCs (National Certificates), HNCs (Higher National Certificates) and PDAs (Professional Development Awards).
We also offer a range of qualifications to those in employment as part of their continuing personal development. This includes Post Qualifying Training in Management, Supervisory Skills and Advanced Practitioner Training, the PDA in Early Education and Childcare and the PDA in Care Service Management. We also offer a range of short courses incorporating NC and HN units across childcare, health and social care.

In addition, we offer the COSCA certificate in Counselling and a range of SVQs.
All of our qualifications are designed to allow you to progress to the next level empowering you to reach your career goals and, for Social Care and Early Education, meet the registration requirements laid down by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
The SCE Salon 

The SCE Salon was opened 2 years ago and comprises salons for Hair, Beauty and Complementary Therapies. We offer a range of full-time and evening vocational courses in these subjects and The Salon is also open to the public. The range of courses available in this area has continued to expand and now includes Fashion, Photographic and Theatre Make-Up.
