The Faculty of Business, Administration and Languages incorporates a diverse range of courses at all levels offering progression to further study and employment. We offer a number of study options to fit in with your lifestyle. Some of these lead to professional qualifications, such as the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Our Trade Union Congress (TUC) programmes are particularly popular and are mainly delivered in either Stevenson College Edinburgh or Falkirk College.
If Law is an area in which you have a particular interest, we currently offer an HNC in Legal Services which will help you become either a trainee paralegal or be accepted on to the 2nd year of the degree at Edinburgh Napier University.
We also offer a selection of new PDAs in Paralegal Studies to suit different specialist areas in Law. Please visit our Legal Studies page for more information.
HNC/D Events
After introducing the HNC last year, we are now offering an HND Events course, which is designed for those who would like to work in the industry or perhaps go on to study events at university. Last year's HNC Events students organised a fashion show to celebrate the College's 40th anniversary, which was very successful and featured Tommy McEwan, Stylist from STV's The Hour.
Languages at Stevenson
With nearly 40 years' of delivering language programmes, Stevenson is a centre of excellence for languages in Scotland. Whether considering starting a new language or wishing to develop the language skills you already have, Stevenson College Edinburgh should be the first place you go.
Our courses range from beginner to advanced levels in Spanish, French, Italian and German, as well as interpeting. Many of our lecturers are native speakers and all are experienced in the latest methodologies and the use of technology for language learning.
The College has excellent resources and classrooms equipped with Interactive Whiteboards, internet access and other aids to learning. In addition, all language students have access to our Virtual Learning Environment (D2L) which offers complete online courses and resources to supplement the work done in class.
Tourism

If the Tourism industry is where your interest lies, we have courses at all levels with agreed entry from our HND directly into the third year at selected universities.
Our wide range of college-based English Language programmes are extremely popular, all of which are accredited by the British Council.
English Classes
We also offer part-time community-based courses which are designed for speakers of other languages living permanently in Edinburgh. Most of the courses offer SQA qualifications in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and use citizenship materials allowing students to meet the language requirements to apply for citizenship.
