Highers, Advanced Highers and Intermediates

From Session 2012/13 Stevenson College Edinburgh will no longer run a full-time Highers programme. Stevenson College Edinburgh offers a range of full-time National Certificate (NC/NQ) programmes which provide entry to the next level, such as HNC courses. Some of these NC/NQ programmes include two Intermediates or two Highers as part of some of the course. These courses can be viewed in the 'Course that include Highers or Intermediates' document on the right hand side of this page.

Funding for Part-time Courses

You will be able to apply for a maximum of three subjects with each Higher or Intermediate costing £200. As these are part-time courses of study, you will not be able eligible for bursary or EMA funding.

However, while you cannot apply for a bursary for a part-time course, you may not have to pay fees if you are in receipt of benefits or are in financial hardship, or you may be able to claim for travel expenses and books.

In addition, an ILA grant of £200 may be available to help funding the fees. Please note, your ILA must be in place well before the start date of the course. For details about applying for an ILA, please visit ILA Scotland at www.ilascotland.org.uk.
