WEACT offer a range of outreach services across Edinburgh. Below is a list of the services we offer by area or alternatively you can view our map to find services near you.
We also work in partnership with a number of specialist agencies.

WEACT (or West Edinburgh Action as it was previously known) started here over 13 years ago, supporting people from the West of Edinburgh secure employment, training or education.
WEACT is now part of Gate 55 which is hub of activity with other agencies such as Community Learning and Development, Platform, Sighthill Library, The Princes Trust, Volunteer Centre, CLAN, Working for Families and many more offering weekly classes, educational sessions and other events.

South-City Centre
The areas of Tollcross, Gorgie, Dalry and Fountainbridge are serviced by three members of the WEACT outreach team.
Alison Dunlop works in Gorgie and Dalry and uses the Tynecastle Community Wing and Gorgie Memorial Hall throughout the week.
Dave Fleming and Hannah Finnie are responsible for Tollcross and Fountainbridge and can meet with clients on an appointment only basis at Fountainbridge Library on Monday and Friday afternoons.

City Centre
If you live in the city centre and surrounds (except from residents of Leith, Craigmillar, Niddrie, Granton and Muirhouse) you can use the services of WEACT in the City Centre.
Paddy Marr and David Allan are available for appointments in the St James Academy by pre arrangement and David Allan is also available in the Cockburn Street Council office.

Pentlands
The area of Oxgangs and surrounds are covered by Veronica Duncan who is able to meet with clients by appointment in the Oxgangs Library and Neighbourhood centre. Veronica is also running a work club for current clients in Partnership with Working for Families.

Advisors are currently working with clients in the area of Liberton/Gilmerton which includes the areas of Moredun, The Inch, Hyvots, Fernieside, Southhouse and Gracemount.
Dave Fleming and Hannah Finnie meet with clients in the Gilmerton Community centre, Gilmerton Library, Good Trees Community Centre and Valley Park Community centre by appointment on a Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning and Friday morning.
