Committed Young Person's Advisors leading clients to impressive levels of positive outcomes.

Our dedicated team, working with young people aged between 16-24 are achieving excellent outcomes for all their clients. 

Through specific employability courses, one to one guidance and group-work, our young clients are finding their way into a large range of employment, courses, training and work experience.

Examples of these positive destinations include:

  • Apprentice Mechanic
  • Sales Assistant
  • Hairdressing trainee
  • CarerNursery Nurse
  • Apprentice - Thomas Cook Travel
  • Management Accountant Assistant
  • Various college courses
  • Princes Trust
  • Youth Build

Clients must live in the City Centre, West Edinburgh, South Edinburgh, but contact us if you're not sure!

Just Do It

WEACT saw further success with two Just Do It courses coming to an end and all participants moving into positive destinations including:

  • Prince Trust 12 week personal development project
  • Get Into Media - Princes Trust
  • College courses
  • 4 work experience placements with Edinburgh City Council (2 joiners, 1 plumber, 1 adminstrator)
  • 1 work experience with Aegon (adminstrator)

WEACT's Just Do It courses are aimed at young people between the ages of 16-24 in various areas of Edinburgh.

The courses will help young people to: 

  • Get started on a career path/college course
  • Gain skills and confidence to handle new situations
  • Find out what employers are looking for
  • Learn how to jobsearch and be confident in interviews
  • Find out more about yourself, your skills and what your interests are
  • Gain a Youth Achievement Award
  • Team Building
  • Get input from employers and colleges
  • Have some fun!

Since April 2011WEACT have:

  • Met with 1537 people
  • Moved 395 of them into full time employment
  • 209 of which have sustained employment after 3 months
  • 44 people have moved into full or part time education
  • 36 people have moved into volunteering.
