SCE and J&E welcome Edinburgh's Telford College

At a special Board meeting on 21 November 2011, Edinburgh’s Telford College decided that they should be part of the development of a new college for the Edinburgh city region, with Stevenson College Edinburgh and Jewel & Esk College.

Both Stevenson College Edinburgh and Jewel & Esk College welcome this announcement.

In a joint Statement from Jim Ewing, Chair, and Ian Young, Vice-Chair, of the Partnership Board established by Stevenson College Edinburgh and Jewel & Esk College, said:

“We are delighted that Edinburgh’s Telford College is now part of the exciting project to create a dynamic new college for the Edinburgh city region. The college sector across Scotland is embracing regionalisation and in Edinburgh, we see enormous opportunities to bring together three strong and successful colleges to create something bigger and better for students.

We look forward to all three colleges meeting very soon for detailed discussions on taking the project forward.”
