As outlined in our Strategic Plan, Stevenson College Edinburgh is committed to sustainability and creating environmental awareness amongst our staff and student population.
The College aims to:
- Reduce our campus carbon footprint by 10% by 2014 and by 20% by 2019
- Reduce electricity costs by £20k per pear
- Increase recycling and reduce landfill by approximately 10 tonnes per year
Going Green to Create the Stevenson Grove
It's your College - let's all help keep it clean and tidy and a great place to study!
In August 2010, Stevenson launched our 'Go Green' initiative to create environmental awareness and to encourage students to recycle their cans and plastic bottles in the College.
Every bottle and can that is recycled will provide funds for planting trees in our very own Stevenson Grove.
We hope that every student will get involved by making sure they recycle and ultimately help our planet stay green.
Our recycling bins are easy to spot around the College!
