The Lecturer Mobility Project is designed to aid the development of curricular areas in social, health and childcare by exposing staff to a variety of teaching practices and developments that are occurring in participating colleges. Care lecturers from Stevenson have the opportunity to spend one week in a partner institution following a structured work plan including class observation, meeting key personnel, and accessing learning centres and programme content/ assessment criteria.
The project will include the use of ICT (Information, Communication, Technology) and the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) to the betterment of the learning process for the student and the training undertaken by staff to achieve its best potential; to identify areas of good practice which can be adopted and shared; how the employability agenda is being addressed in relation to employability, employee skills and employer needs in their core curricular studies, in order to assist the creation of a dynamic and progressive workforce.
