The European Work Experience Project will provide the opportunity for students studying Care at HNC/D level to complete a three week work placement in a variety of locations across three different countries – Finland, the Netherlands and Sweden. Most European countries will experience the same prospect of skills shortages in the future and an area of specific concern is the care profession. Gaining an understanding of each others methods of care delivery offers the prospect of sharing good practice and managing the challenges to come. Students will also benefit in terms of enhanced employability, and the injection of a European dimension and the idea of Citizenship into their life – career and personal.
