Euro-Placement was one such Leonardo Da Vinci project that Stevenson College Edinburgh delivered.
It provided the opportunity for 15 students to undertake interesting and meaningful work placements in Europe. This project gave the students the chance to live and work in Europe as well as to develop their vocational skills in language and in a range of customer services. In addition, the European cultural dimension which such placements bring to the lives of the students is of significant long-term value, enhancing employment prospects in the Scottish Tourism sector which requires staff with good language skills.
The project worked directly in partnership with a range of employers in France, Italy, Spain and Germany offering placements in visitor attractions, tour operators, travel agencies or hotels.
