Welcome to Edinburgh College's Sighthill Campus
Our Sighthill campus is located in the West of Edinburgh and has around 14,000 students a year at this campus.
Sighthill (formerly Stevenson College Edinburgh) celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2010 and has a range of excellent facilities for students.
These include an onsite centre for sport and exercise which, as well as providing an excellent training facility for our sport and exercise students, is available for staff and students to use out with core teaching hours. There are a range of clubs you can join, from running clubs to rugby, or you can set up one of your own!
If you'd like to do something more relaxing, the Salon at the Sighthill campus offers a range of hair, beauty and complementary therapy treatments at reduced prices (compared to commercial salons).
We have a library and a learning centre which you can use in class groups or on your own and we offer additional support to those who need it.
The Music Box is a state-of-the-art music, rehearsal and performance centre, which not only provides excellent facilities to our talented music students but is also available to hire if you play or record music.
A range of hot and cold food and drinks are available in the refectory, which is situated on the ground floor including main meals, with a choice of various types of food including vegetarian, halal and healthy options. There is also a college shop in the refectory with a selection of lighter snacks including sandwiches, fruit and chocolate.
Sanctuary
If you need some time to be quiet, to think, to reflect or pray, you can go to The Sanctuary on the ground floor. There are books for you to read and a collection of peaceful music CDs and we also have regular meditation classes.
Prayer Rooms
The College has prayer rooms available for people of all faiths.
International Students
The campus has home to students from all across the globe and welcomes over 1,000 EU and international students each year onto English Language, Foundation and HNC/HND programmes.
Gender and Disability Equality
We are proud to be one of just two colleges in Scotland to receive the LGBT Youth Scotland Charter Mark. Awarded by the charity LGBT Youth Scotland, the Mark recognises organisations' high standards of support for young lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and trans-gender individuals.
We are also committed to promoting inclusion and diversity for all staff and students, as noted in our Strategic Plan.
We have worked hard to ensure that our Disability Equality Scheme produces real outcomes and practical improvements to the experiences and opportunities of disabled people, both as staff and students.
