We like to recognise the support organisations offer to Edinburgh College through various projects and initiatives. Here is the selection of the College's and their contributions:

ScottishPower
Sponsors 14 students per year on the NC Electrical Engineering with Skills for Work Energy course and provides them with a training allowance, personal protective equipment and in-house training.
 
MacTaggart Scott & Co. Ltd
Contributed to the MacTaggart Scott & Co. Ltd, Hydraulic and Pneumatics Lab at the college’s Midlothian campus and offers work placements for college students.

Ken Scott 
(Music engineer who worked with David Bowie, The Beatles and Pink Floyd)
Donated his time for a talk, Q&A session and workshop for sound production students.
Scottish Building Federation Edinburgh
and District Charitable Trust
Offer a number of scholarship and bursary funding awards to college students on courses related to the construction industry.
 
St. Andrews Timber & Building Supplies Ltd
Donates prize giving vouchers to construction and joinery students.
 
Irwin Tools
Donates hand tools for construction students.

Howdens Joinery
Donates worktops and kitchen cabinets for practical training.

Webster Power Products LTD
Donates tools for prize awards and provides demonstrations by leading power tool and hand tool manufacturers.

Cafe St Honoré
Provided cookery demonstrations at the college’s food festivals, donated prizes and in the next academic session will be providing mentoring and training to a college apprentice.
 
Elemis
Provides an onsite trainer and donates student of the year prize, sample products and point of sale materials.
 
Wella Professionals
Each year supports the college Hair Factor Awards and many other industry events.

Moving On Inverclyde
Gave a class of visual communication students the opportunity to work on a rebranding project as part of the college’s industry and student mentor programme. The charity gave prize awards to the winner, runner up and all participants. The winner was commissioned to take their idea forward.
