Our College is pleased to welcome learners from our local community throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians. We work hard to make sure that our learners find us welcoming and easy to access. Edinburgh College is a great place to meet other people from the community, Edinburgh, the Lothians and further afield.
We know that you may be used to the College being part of where you live, but coming back into education can seem a bit daunting. That’s why we offer a large range of information and advice designed to help you make the right decisions at every stage. As well as course choice and methods of study, we can advise you on qualifications, applications, childcare and funding.
Much of our community development work has a strong vocational focus, helping people to understand the needs of the local jobs market and to develop the qualities employers need. We help people to raise their aspirations and see a more positive future.
We work with a wide range of partners to deliver and develop courses and are always keen to involve them in our planning for education, training, guidance and employment opportunities. These include voluntary, charity, youth and community learning organisations.
Whether it’s a full-time or part-time course to embark on a new career – or studying a couple of hours per week to learn more about a hobby or interest – we can help. Click here to view a full list of community courses offered.
