Code of Conduct
At Edinburgh College we ask all our students to behave in a responsible, considerate way, respecting fellow students, staff and college property. In return, we will treat you with the respect you deserve. The college operates a Code of Conduct for school pupils and this will be explained to you when you start your course.
We will report your attendance back to your school on a weekly basis, so it is important that you attend college and classes when you are expected to. If you do not turn up at college and are not aware of any reason why you would be absent, we will telephone the school to let them know. Always remember to ask parents or guardians to explain any absences either to school or college. Whenever you are on holiday from school, you will not need to come into college.
All of our campuses have catering facilities available to you. If you are entitled to free meals at school then this can be arranged for you at college too. Your school will let us know if you’re eligible so there is no need for you to do anything. We operate a voucher scheme and this will be explained at your induction when you first come to college.
Personal Protective Equipment
If your course has a requirement for personal protective equipment (PPE) then this will be supplied by the college and paid for by your school. You will be asked for your sizes at interview, so please check before you attend so that you can give us accurate information. Typical information would be your top, trouser and shoe sizes. The kit will be ready for you when you come in for your first day at college.
Travel arrangements are the responsibility of your school, please speak with your guidance teacher to check your school's arrangements.
